A KickHouse class working the heavy bags

Your first class

No Experience?
No Problem.

You don't need experience. You just need to show up. We handle everything else.

Take a look inside

Welcome to KickHouse.

How it works

Your first class, step by step.

  1. 01

    Arrive Early

Show up 15–20 minutes before class. That gives you time to settle in, meet the team, and let your nerves settle before the music starts.

  2. 02

    Meet Your Coach

Your coach greets you by name, asks what brought you in, and walks you through what's coming. You're not a number here.

  3. 03

    Speed Wraps On

Speed wraps protect your wrists and knuckles. Your coach gets you set up in about two minutes — and it feels like suiting up for battle.

  4. 04

    Warm Up

Dynamic stretching and light cardio to get your blood moving. Nothing complicated — just movement that wakes your body up.

  5. 05

    The Class

60 minutes of coached kickboxing on the heavy bag. Your coach calls every combination — jabs, crosses, hooks, kicks. Every round is structured. Every minute is intentional.

  6. 06

    Cool Down

The last few minutes bring your heart rate down and stretch out what you just worked. You leave feeling accomplished, not wrecked.

Come prepared

What to bring to your first class.

Breathable Athletic Wear
Anything you can move freely in. Moisture-wicking fabric is ideal. Shorts, leggings, a tank — your call.
Socks or Bare Feet
Leave the shoes at the door. Only socks or bare feet are allowed on the mat.
Water and a Towel
You're going to need both. There's water at the studio, but bring a bottle you can keep at your bag.
Nothing Else
Gloves are provided and speed wraps are available at the studio. You don't need to buy a thing before your first class.

Questions

Everything you need to know.

Do I need kickboxing experience?+

None at all. Most of our members had never thrown a punch before their first class. Your coach teaches stance and footwork before anything else, and our KickStart format exists specifically to build you from the ground up.

Is there contact or sparring?+

No. You hit the bag, never a person. There's no sparring and no partner contact in any KickHouse class — just you, a heavy bag, and a coach calling combinations.

How long is a class?+

60 minutes, start to finish. That includes your warm up, the coached rounds on the bag, and a cool down at the end.

How many calories will I burn?+

Up to 600 in a 60-minute class, depending on how hard you push. You set the pace — the coaching is the same either way.

Is KickHouse good for beginners?+

It's built for them. Every class is coached the whole way through, every combination is called out loud, and nobody is expected to keep up with anyone else. Your first class is free so you can try it before you commit.

What if I have an injury or limitation?+

Tell your coach when you arrive. Every movement can be scaled, and you work at your own pace — that's true in every format we run. If you're returning from an injury, check with your doctor first.
